鶴
Origami earrings crane
In Japan, the crane (鶴, Tsuru) is a symbol of good luck, longevity, and peace. It is considered one of the most important animals in Japanese culture and mythology. According to an ancient legend, the crane lives for 1,000 years and is often associated with wisdom and patience.
In the origami tradition, the crane is particularly important. It is said that whoever can make 1,000 origami cranes (senbazuru) folds, a heart's wish will be fulfilled or health and a long life will be given to them.
The crane is also often used as a symbol of peace , especially after World War II, through the story of Sadako Sasaki, a Japanese girl who attempted to fold 1,000 cranes after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
